This two-bedroom property in East London was left in serious disarray after the previous builder abandoned the project. The wooden lath and plaster ceilings had been partly pulled down, walls partially stripped of wallpaper, and surface defects and cracks had been filled to a very poor standard.

Our client wanted to sell the property so the priority was to restore it to a respectable standard at reasonable cost before it could be placed on the market.

Hyssop Project first removed all furniture, carpets and fittings, before gutting the property, taking down the remaining ceilings. The walls were prepared and then re-plastered throughout, except for the tiled walls in the kitchen and bathroom, which were cleaned and restored with new grout.

All the newly plastered areas, including ceilings, were painted off-white to provide a blank canvas for the new owner, and carpet was laid throughout.

Externally, the property was repainted, a new garden fence was erected on all sides and hedges were cut back.
